Alex Malone is a highly talented basketball coach with 10 + years of coaching and over 30 years of playing experience. Alex grew up in Brooklyn NY before moving to Queens. He played basketball at John Adams High School and went on to play basketball for CUNY York College in Jamaica NY while majoring in Physical Education. Alex played semi pro basketball before relocating to the Pocono in 2004 with his wife and children. He became involved in the community by holding basketball clinics for the as well as organizing tournaments over the years. He possesses excellent leadership, training, and mentoring skills. His coaching capability extends from beginner skill development of solid fundamentals to the advanced competitive level. . Alex has been involved in different facets of organized basketball in the Poconos for the past 15 years including holding the Freshman’s Girls Coach position at Pocono Mountain West H.S. from 2014-2017.
James Ford has been Coaching and Training fitness and athletics for over 12+ years. He also has Over 25 years’ experience as a player. James Commitment to the youth started at a young age in Brooklyn as a strong supporter of for after school and Performing Arts programs for his community. Shortly after he began his training career Volunteering as the strength and conditioning Trainer for the local teams in his community. James moved to the Poconos with wife and children in 2013. He became involved in the Community through Coaching and training and has continued to instill fundamentals,Discipline and Growth in all his athletes while mentoring them through life. James is currentlyCo-Director of Fitness for Forever Dedicated 64 Fitness & Hoops. He also is Co-director of our FD Hoops AAU Program alongside Alex Malone and Al Heyward and our Boys Head Coach.
Al Heyward has been involved with various basketball organizations in the Poconos since 2006. He has taken on a more active role as co-director of Forever Dedicated . He received his Master’s Degree in Human Services from Lincoln University, the nation's first degree-granting Historically Black College and University, and has worked in the field of Human Services since 1999 as a direct care worker, residential director, counselor, mobile therapist, and a Licensed Behavior Specialist. Since 2014, Coach Heyward has successfully run Youth star’s Annual Extreme Five Star Basketball and Health and Fitness Overnight Camp on the campus of East Stroudsburg University. His coaching experience spans from beginner skill development of solid fundamentals to the advanced competitive level. It is his endeavor to provide quality programming that develops, not only basketball knowledge and skills, but builds character and resiliency in our youth that will last throughout their life’s journey.
